Since last March 10th, the free Tibet protest has been an on-going issue throughout the world, as well as Tibet. Of course, it reaches to New York City.
In New York, there are more than 3000 Tibetan people living in the city, mainly in Queens, Jackson Heights.
Now we just start to see Tibetan dumpling called momo on the street, Tibetan nannies being popular among mothers who seek Buddhist calming influence and also victims of religious oppression who come here for building their own community with their own religious beliefs and hopes for their home land's freedom.
This blog is not necessarily focusing on free Tibet movement. Instead, this is the blog that shows the journey of myself, from South Korea, who had known nothing about Tibet before I came to New York in 2007. I'm discovering the culturally colorful, calm, peaceful lives of Tibetan community and also their passionate voice for free Tibet.
Thank you for visiting my personal blog.
As I named it -- like I'd write a postcard to my close friends and family, I update things to share with others as stumbling around new york city where I'm currently living/working after graduating from NYU early this year.
